Description: Israeli military forces have withdrawn from the Netzarim Corridor which effectively cut the Gaza Strip northern parts from the eastern parts of the enclave. The withdrawal comes as a response to the ongoing ceasefire agreement terms negotiated between Israel and Hamas. The executive order was mainly signed over the ICC’s issuance of an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu for committed war crimes in Gaza and the West Bank. Description: The Philippines and Canada have reached final stages of negotiations in establishing an extensive defense pact between the countries. Canada has joined the US, Australia and the Philippines in air and naval maneuvers in the disputed South China Sea last year, and ever since cooperated closely to deter Chinese maritime and aerial forces in the region.
