Description: The Los Angeles demonstrations continue to draw national attention as mass protests erupt in various cities across the US. New York, Washington, Boston, San Antonio, Seattle are some of the cities where the LA protests inspired large amassment of demonstrators protesting against Donald Trump’s violent immigration policies. Around 700 US Marines are expected to be deployed in the upcoming days who will assist the federal agents from ICE in detaining violent rioters and protecting federal buildings from sustaining damages. California State Governor Gavin Newsom has repeatedly clashed with the US President over his decision to involve military troops in detaining protesters and their involvement in assisting the LA police department in restoring public order. The Trump administration continued to defend the President’s decision to deploy the National Guard and the Marines under the pretext of countering violent illegal immigrants. Massive protests are expected to expand on Saturday, 14 Jun, where more than 1,800 anti – establishment demonstrations would be held across the country. The same day in Washington D.C. the US Army would hold a parade marking its 250th anniversary which coincides with Donald Trump’s 79th birthday.

Impact: Trump’s legislative sidestepping of foundational human rights has led towards a nationwide civil and security crises. The violent and illegal crackdown on immigration caused massive civilian anti – establishment consolidation which could further lead to an extended domestic crisis destabilizing the US beyond the boundaries of civil unrest. The local and federal governments continue to clash over the best steps necessary to deescalate tensions as the situation on the ground deteriorates by the day. The announced nationwide demonstrations on Saturday could prompt the Trump administration to continue to undermine local government establishments across the country as the President could deploy National Guard troops across the impacted states. The de-escalation of the domestic crises falls in the hands of the local government as their defiance against troop deployment and containment of the demonstrations on a state level could be crucial towards preventing a nation widespread political and security crisis.
